The Whole Story: Church - Standing Firm

As we near the end of the Whole Story this weekend, our focus will be in Ephesians and on spiritual battles. As believers, we face real conflicts with Satan and evil forces in this world. Paul affirms in Ephesians 6 that we can be confident when facing these battles since we have the armor of God as protection. On our own we can’t win, but Christ has already defeated the powers through the cross. As we gather to worship our Savior, we will steady our hearts by proclaiming that it is in Christ alone that our hope and strength is found. He is our cornerstone and stronghold in times of trouble. As we worship this week, let’s remember that we do not need to be afraid when we face conflict. Take hope in the truth that is declared in the song “You Make Me Brave” by Bethel Music.

You make me brave, you make me brave.

You called me out beyond the shore into the waves.

You make me brave, you make me brave.

No fear can hinder now the promises you made.
