April 10 Worship Set

The Whole Story:  Real People, Real Issues, Real Wisdom – Psalms

Feelings can sometimes be the greatest challenge in our walk with God. They can either move us toward or away from His purpose for our lives. They are actually a gift from God that can be used well when surrendered to Him. The Psalms speak of a wide range of emotions that provide a pattern of prayer and worship for our lives that are so important to our faith.

As we come before the Lord, we invite Him in through the song “Holy Spirit” by Bryan and Katie Torwalt. We desire His presence to flood our church and hearts, and we will sing “Sinking Deep” by Hillsong Young & Free to continue declaring our longing for Him.

We will proclaim that our God is a great King who reigns in majesty through the song “Great and Mighty King” by Elevation Worship. As we continue praising God for who He is and what He has done, all we can do is stand before Him with our arms wide open, in awe of the One who gave His all for us. We will sing “The Stand” by Hillsong in response to this.

When life hits us hard, we can be confident that the Lord will never leave our side. We proclaim this with thanksgiving through the songs “Not for a Moment (After All)” by Meredith Andrews and “Whom Shall I Fear” by Chris Tomlin. We do not have to fear because we know who goes before us and fights on our behalf. Deuteronomy 31:6 says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

We will end our time of worship by blessing the Lord and glorifying His name through the song “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)” by Matt Redman. Despite the trials of this life, we want to stand and say:

On that day when my strength is failing

The end draws near and my time has come

Still my soul will sing Your praise unending

Ten Thousand years and then forevermore…
