Storyboarding Christmas - Herod: Shameless Scoundrel - Matthew 2:1-12

As we near the Christmas season we'll begin our new series called “Storyboarding Christmas”. We are spotlighting some of the minor characters in the Christmas story that don’t often get talked about, but are still important since they give us a better glimpse into the grandeur of God’s plan. The spotlight is on Herod this week. Despite the corruption he displayed, God’s plan to send his Son to redeem the earth still prevailed.

As we dive deeper into the story of Christmas, we want to worship God for his mighty plan. We will sing carols that remind us of the true meaning of Christmas, declaring the birth of our Savior and bringing our adoration before him. God is faithful in his plan for all mankind and will reign forevermore.

“Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.” Psalm 145:13
