The Whole Story: Deliverance - God's Rescue of Israel – Exodus 5-14
For the last few weeks we have been walking through the Bible starting with Genesis and on our way to Revelation looking at The Whole Story. God created you and I for a relationship with Him. His original intent was that we would allow Him to walk with us and dwell with us, and there would be no broken hearts, no hurt feelings, and no oppression or division. We need a deliverer to free us from the weight of the sinful world. Just as the Lord delivered the Israelites from the affliction of Pharaoh, He will also deliver us from the bondage of this world.
As we open our time of worship through song, we will rejoice by singing “Open Up The Heavens” by Meredith Andrews. We invite the Holy Spirit into our worship because we desire His presence and glory to be among us. We ask Him to move in our midst and to be present in a mighty way. Connections campus will open with the song “Freedom” by Eddie James to express the joy of freedom that Christ brings.
We remind ourselves of God’s faithfulness and deliverance through the song “Faithful Over Us” by Casey Darnell. We exalt Him for the love and grace that He reveals to us time and time again. We will also offer our praise through the song “Your Love Never Fails” by Jesus Culture. Even when waters get rough and all seems lost, God’s love prevails. We can take heart by knowing the love of Christ will sustain us.
We will end with the song “No Longer Slaves” by Bethel. Often we find ourselves trembling in fear because of the evil that is in our midst, but we can rejoice that we no longer are slaves to that fear when we become children of God. Christ delivers us from our enemies just as he delivered the Israelites from bondage. He provides us with strength and courage to overcome the fears in our lives.
