Who's My Neighbor - The Good Samaritan
We begin a new series this weekend called “Who is My Neighbor.” Together, we will explore the struggles we face as a culture and see what the Bible has to say about loving those around us. As believers, we are called to love the Lord with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength and to love our neighbors as ourselves. In order to love our neighbor, we must first love God with all that we are. You cannot have one without the other.
The way we worship directly reflects the state of our hearts. Who or what we love determines who/what we worship. The song set chosen this week revolves around the great commandment. As we gather to worship, we will proclaim how great and unconditional God’s love is. The ultimate act of His love was displayed on the cross. May we meditate on the words of this modern hymn this week and realize the depth of our Father’s love for us.
How deep the Father's love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure
How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory
Your Love Never Fails
