St. Charles Campus Pastor

Job Description

The Campus Pastor is the point person for the ministry of Calvary Church at that campus, leading the implementation of ministries developed by the Leadership Team at the campus level. This person casts vision, teaches, recruits leaders, champions ministry, works to assimilate people into small group connections and ministry team involvement while providing pastoral care and up-front leadership to the campus.

  • Reports to the Multi-site Director who oversees the campuses.

  • Under the direction of this leader, and in alignment with the ministry team leaders, oversees the campus ministry staff in a manner that is consistent with the vision and values of Calvary.

  • Works with the Multi-site Director and Leadership Team to implement processes which will assimilate people to the campus, creating a hospitable and invitational environment from parking lot to worship center.

  • Champions people getting into small groups including vision-casting, recruitment and support of shepherds and leaders in cooperation with Small Groups ministry leadership.

  • Performs pastoral care responsibilities for attendees of St Charles Campus, including shepherding and counseling.

  • Develops volunteer leaders through coaching, training, building relationships, and communicating the Calvary vision.

  • Prepares for Sunday including those activities when not speaking and preparation for any up-front moments.

  • Assists in the preparation, writing of sermons and delivery on the weekends, as scheduled.

  • Collaborates with the campus staff to monitor metrics in order to achieve benchmarks for growth and assimilation on your campus.

  • Connects with the local community and community leaders representing Calvary and its vision beyond its walls in collaboration with the rest of the impact team.

  • Oversees the online presence of the campus, keeping it current and consistent with the values of Calvary and making sure the campus inputs to the Calvary communication process are complete and timely.

  • Meets with the Core Leadership team for support and to multiply the vision. This team is made up of St Charles Campus volunteer leaders who oversee key positions.

    1. Share vision that creates excitement and momentum at the campus and mobilize the church to use gifts and passion to serve Christ.

    2. Implement the effective assimilation process so that people move from being a first-time attender to being connected into the church and a growing as a follower of Christ.

    3. Train, recruit, and lead small group leaders so that the people at St Charles Campus are involved in healthy, disciple-making communities.

    4. Lead a supportive and active Core Leadership Team

    5. Shepherd and lead the staff team to produce effective ministry (children, youth, groups, worship, etc)

    6. Lead the campus in growth in key performance metrics.

    7. Engage the community to show the love of Christ and see people come to faith in Him.

Part-time Birthday Party Coordinator

Calvary's Mid Rivers Campus invites families from our church and community to rent the indoor playground at the Mid Rivers Campus for birthday parties. Parties are scheduled Friday evenings and Saturdays. The successful candidate must have graduated high school, be confident, enjoy children, have a great serving attitude. Duties include: 

  • greeting the family

  • going over the birthday party agreement with the host family

  • offering to help with setup

  • keeping the host family on time

  • offering to help with teardown

Coordinators are paid $30 per party.
