United Together

We live in a divided world. Just spend two minutes on social media or watch the news and you'll see that everyone is at each other’s throats. Unity appears to be the exception rather than the norm, and this includes inside the church. And yet, Jesus in John 17 prays: “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me” (John 17:20-21). Unity is important to the message, mission, and integrity of the church.

In United Together, we will look at different passages from Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians. The Church in Corinth was a divided church, and yet the gospel message is one that unites.

ESV Scripture Journal: 1 Corinthians

ESV Scripture Journal: 1 Corinthians

“Take extended notes alongside passages of Scripture, with lined blank pages interspersed throughout complete books of the Bible.”

ESV Scripture Journals pair the entirety of individual books of the Bible with lightly lined blank pages opposite each page of Bible text, allowing readers to take extended notes or record insights and prayers directly beside corresponding passages of Scripture.

These thin, portable notebooks are great for personal Bible reading and reflection, small-group study, or taking notes through a sermon series.

Exalting Jesus in Daniel

First Corinthians For You by Andrew Wilson

In this accessible commentary, author Andrew Wilson walks the reader through Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians. In this letter, Paul tackles a huge variety of subjects, and as he does so, he gives us a previous insight into what a local church is (or at least can be). Grace should shape every church - even one as flawed as the Corinthian one.
